This part II training continues and deepens discussion around how narrative approaches may be beneficial to consider when working with youth and families. The training will utilize didactic and experiential approaches to introduce key concepts and techniques with a narrative basis. Participants will use this series to explore how narrative concepts such as externalization, re-authoring, mapping of problems, success walks, and narrative letter-writing might provide a framework for engaging and working with foster youth using a trauma-informed lens. Selected readings will exemplify the use of narrative work in case examples. Additionally, participants will be provided additional information on resources for narrative community work.
